The all-too-familiar ER...

[Thursday, 1/18, 1am] Back at the ER for the night - Jon's had a cough that got wheezy, and temp spiked tonight - we went to bed around 10:30, and he woke up at midnight unable to get warm or stop shivering. Temperature went up to 102.5 at home, so his oncologist sent us to the ER. Hopefully you're not up, but if you are, we'd welcome your prayers that this would be a short visit and all would be ok.

UPDATE [Friday, 1/19, 5am] : Jon seems to have pneumonia - flu and RSV cultures came back negative thankfully- and still waiting on a few more cultures to come back to rule out other bacterial or viral infections. Looks like we'll be admitted and begin a min 48 hr course of antibiotics. But his blood work shows that he is no longer neutropenic, which is a good thing!
